The Cavern Lune

She lay on an island of rock warming near a fire as the world slowly stopped spinning around her. There was no one about, but if this was Neeria, she figured it would be the Keepers who kept the fires lit. It had been a long time since she’d turned up in Neeria. She couldn’t be sure she was in Neeria after all, but where else could she be? The emerald waters she’d emerged from… they were a Lune. It had to be. Not that there was always water, but it wasn’t the first time that the water had been the connection, the medium through which she’d emerged on the other side. Steam rose from her body as she lay there – warming, wondering, drying.
